Welcome! Atelier Grisaille offers classical art instruction which follows the traditions of the old European ateliers, blended with contemporary knowledge and awareness. Of course, we are teaching classical drawing and painting lessons online to bypass the current covid 19 issues. To our delight, the online experience has proven to be rewarding for all of us. 

There is, however, no replacing the experience of working together in the studio. The smells of paint and herbal tea. The sounds of murmuring voices interspersed with peals of laughter.  The sharpening of pencils against sandpaper and the subtle squeak of a chair. Only those in love with the craft and immersed in a classical art atelier will understand ... this life is like no other.
